This one-hour introductory workshop is designed for clinicians who are new to ethical non-monogamy (ENM) and polyamory. Participants will gain foundational knowledge about diverse relationship structures, key terminology, and common myths associated with ENM. We will explore the distinct challenges and experiences of ethically non-monogamous clients, including communication dynamics, boundary-setting, and navigating societal stigma. By the end of the session, attendees will be equipped with enough knowledge to understand and affirm ENM clients and feel confident about where to seek further training and resources to continue their journey toward becoming inclusive, culturally competent therapists.

In Shoshie’s presentation entitled “Attachment: From Infancy to Adulthood,” she will
explore with participants all things attachment! In this presentation, you will learn about
the way attachment develops, the way it impacts the individual throughout their
development up to and including adulthood, and the way attachment may influence an
individual’s mental health. Finally, Shoshie will discuss ways to assess for attachment
issues and to therapeutically intervene when attachment seems to be at the core of
what a client is bringing into the treatment space.

Presentation Background:
During Jaylyn's presentation entitled "Racial Battle Fatigue: Supporting BIPOC Helpers and Clients" she will provide tips on how to navigate Racial Battle Fatigue for therapists of color as well as supporting BIPOC clients experiencing this specific burnout. In this presentation, you will learn about the origin of Racial Battle Fatigue, its causes, trauma-informed therapeutic interventions for supporting clients, self-care practices for BIPOC therapists, risk factors, and a  Q+A discussion. Jaylyn will also cover how to cope via interdependence by creating and navigating topics in session with BIPOC clients via an IFS/Trauma-Informed framework. Content from this presentation is meant to be utilized in the therapeutic space with BIPOC clients and in BIPOC therapists' personal journey of self-care.
